I Will Bless the Lord at All Times!

Belinda Payne • Jun 06, 2020

That is what you said, but that is not what you are doing.

Everything was going quite well.  Sure,  you thought things could always be better, but you had no real qualms or complaints. Your life was coasting along without a hitch.  Suddenly,  out of nowhere – loss of income, sickness all over the land, fear, and thoughts of despair! Now you find yourself unable to shout with the voice of triumph.  You have forgotten your promise to bless the Lord at all times.

You pondered, “Is there anyone else that feels the way I do?”.

Psalm 34:1

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

King David began the thirty-fourth Psalm with a vow to bless God—no matter what occurred in his life. What you do not see in this verse is what David had experienced before making that declaration. If you go back and begin with the first Psalm, you will find that by the time you reach the thirty-fourth, David has lived through mountaintop experiences as well as death-valley assaults.

The tunnel of persecution.

This may sound strange, but even when God has an anointing on your life, He will still allow you to go through the tunnel of persecution. Please do not despair and quit! The most crucial time to stay connected with God through the Holy Spirit is now!!    You must learn to tunnel through; get to the other side if you plan to emerge from this season of uncertainty.

Your assignment.

God does what He wants, when He wants, and with whomever He chooses? Like any other work-day, David was out in the field, minding his business, tending the sheep, getting dirty and smelly when Samuel, the prophet, requested that he be brought into his father’s house to be anointed the next king of Israel. The next day and for the next  5,478.6375 days  David went to work in the same field, with same dirty, smelly sheep.

Has God stalled His blessing, that He promised you?

There are times it appears God has stalled out on His Words to bless you . He has not.  Yes, you are the person for the job, but God knows you are not yet equipped to perform the job. God knows what lays ahead, and He has a Divine path designed to bring you to the place which He has prepared. The Lord will make you ready and ensure your success.

The conclusion of the matter:  God is creating within you the heart of a worshipper – a heart that would bless God at all times.

John 4:24

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Feelings of guilt can work for us or against us. This sense of remorse or self-condemnation that guilt can bring may plague our mind to the point where it seems catastrophic, causing us to lose sleep and our peace. However, guilt can also affect us, acting as a catalyst, compelling us to clear our conscience […]

Just because you don’t like the truth does not make it not a truth. There are what some call “hard sayings” of the Bible. These hard sayings are not defined so because it was difficult for the individual to speak the words. It is a hard saying because those who hear it have difficulty receiving […]
