The million-dollar question today is, how are you doing these days? Are you still moving at 100 miles per hour, or has your pace changed? How are you sleeping; better than ever or not at all? Even now you are rushing through this post, something more pressing is on your mind. If it’s not the kid’s activities, then it’s the job. If it’s not the job, then it’s social media, events, family or…and the list goes on. On top of all that, you keep looking in the rear as if you left something behind or if something or someone is behind you. Maybe the Lord is aiming to get your attention.
God is not going to chase you.
It a funny thing about the Lord! Jesus will not chase you down. But He does know how to get your attention. Our heaven is the author of time, so He does not need to hurry after you because He is everywhere at the same time. After you have run in circles, used up all your midnight oil, and exhausted all your energy, Jesus will still be standing at the door knocking, waiting for you to let Him come in and fellowship with you. He’s heard all your excuses before, and none are good enough.
What’s really going on?
We have more extra time on our hands, which is just one of the Lord’s speed limit changes; there are others to come. What are you doing with those extra minutes? The Lord has closed many places of social gatherings. At one point, life had almost come to a grinding halt. Some people took advantage of this time, spending it with their children, enriching themselves, getting their personal business decisions in order, gardening, exercising, and much more. Other people saw it as a menace and inconvenience to their lifestyle. Yet, the Lord did not ask us for permission, nor did he seek our approval. Instead, the Lord exercised His divine authority and began shifting things in the earth.
Pay attention to God.
God is not finished moving. Has anyone noticed? You say, finished doing what? God is not finished altering our lives. Heads up! God is ushering in a new thing in the earth, that’s what. And, there is another speed limit change just ahead. So be prepared to make more adjustments.
It’s essential to write things down.
R ecord what you feel and what you see and hear and the timing of it all. Should on to good friends that you can share and converse. Pray for one another. And by all means, sit at the Lord’s feet to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to His people. If you have not picked up your Bible in many days, dust it off and start reading the Word of God; it shall be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your pathway.
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
