Are We There Yet?

Belinda Payne • Oct 03, 2020

Sometimes we are just like our kids; we are tired of the journey.

When will the people of God realize that they have the power to move mountains? Why aren’t we there yet? Why do we lack the faith to believe God’s promises are true to ALL that believe in Jesus Christ’s name. Why do believers’ think that only certain people in the Christian community have great spiritual power or authority? Well, Christ made it very clear supernatural power is not restricted to a few. Jesus said those who believe in Him would do the works He has done, and even greater works.

God’s response to our wailing cries?

The Lord God said He would heal the land we live in if His people did a few simple things. We are to pray, humble ourselves, seek Him, and turn from our wicked ways.

Rest assured, you have the power to move mountains!

In other words, Christians can turn this world around! Are we there yet? Better yet, are YOU there yet? Are you ready to be one of the two or three gathered in His name, which He has promised to be in the midst? Stop looking at everyone else! Instead, focus on getting YOU there so you can make an impact in the Kingdom of God. Go ahead! Speak to your mountain and tell your mountain to get out of your way!

The Holy Spirit is always there to help us through God’s Word.

Even when you cannot sense God’s presence, He is with you.

John tells us we have the power to do even greater works and miracles than the twelve disciples. But there are times when our prayers are hindered because we have not humbled ourselves and prayed, sought God, nor have we turned from our wicked and sinful ways. Instead, we believe the problem is all those sinners in the world and not the church. But Oh – if the Lord Jesus Christ’s church would come together in the spirit and pray to God the Father – we would experience an explosive revival. The children of the Most High God must operate in faith – not fear.

John 14:12

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Matthew 14:31

And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

You have the power to turn your situation around.

Be reminded Jesus said if we have faith and no doubt, we can speak to our situations, whether they be a tall as a tree or a large and high as a mountain, and command that it be removed. What He as saying was we are to apply this to our situations. Speak to that mountain of insecurity, jealousy, lies, procrastination, and anything else that blocks your view of the finish line and trust God to cast it away.

Trust God.

Matthew 21:21

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Feelings of guilt can work for us or against us. This sense of remorse or self-condemnation that guilt can bring may plague our mind to the point where it seems catastrophic, causing us to lose sleep and our peace. However, guilt can also affect us, acting as a catalyst, compelling us to clear our conscience […]

When we greet one another, we ask, how are you doing? We say it so often it has become like a rhetorical statement, not a genuine question of concern. If you are on the receiving end of that question – you know we tend not to give an accurate response.  After all, no one wants […]

When you enter a room, and everyone knows you, it’s a great feeling and maybe even a distinguished honor. You do not need to show your ID with your name and picture to make you official. More and more people are finding themselves trying to live off of rations. Have you ever had to make do with the remnants of what others have left behind? Just because you don’t like the truth does not make it not a truth. There are what some call “hard sayings” of the Bible. These hard sayings are not defined so because it was difficult for the individual to speak the words. It is a hard saying because those who hear it have difficulty receiving […]
