And then there are people. Do you sometimes imagine everything being okay if it weren’t for people? You would not get so upset. People in your relationships would not hurt you. You would not have to lie! And surely you would never have to go through changes in life.
To be honest, that is funny because someone out there looks at you and thinks the same thing saying, “If it weren’t for (insert your name), I would be alright.” Can you imagine what the world would be like without people? Well, neither can God. That’s why He made us.
Just like you, there have been times I felt this way. Of course, I had to repent of this, but there were times people rubbed me the wrong way. I have had so-called friends to lie to me and attempt to make me stumble and fall. I have been falsely accused of things I did not say or do. Did that hurt? You bet it did. Did it make me want to strike back? It did. At times I held anger, bitterness, and resentment in my heart for years towards individuals that hurt me. The harder I tried to release it, the more these roots of bitterness and resentment grew more in-depth into my heart.
I began to experience an emptiness that seemed worse than the emotional pain. I pressed God for spiritual relief and deliverance. I knew my existence had a higher purpose, and I was determined to discover my purpose. God did not make a mistake when He brought me into this world.
God believes we are worth our existence, and one day I latched on to that belief, and my mindset started to change. Good or bad, great or small, I knew I was very special to God and others. I was relieved to know I am the apple of God’s eye. He knows the number of hairs on my head. Amazing!
I hope you know that you can influence your change and experience relief. Yeah, I know you’ve been the way you are for years. That is no excuse! People do whatever they want. If you desire to change bad enough, you will put forth the effort to make the adjustments—one last thing. Don’t be so hard on yourself – after all, change is a journey, not an event.
Each day you get up, look yourself in the mirror, and purpose to look for opportunities to implement positive change in life. If you mess up during the day, repent and move on.
I pray you will be encouraged and not discouraged.
Matthew 10:30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Zechariah 2:8
For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
